Excitement Is In The Air

Hello Church Family and Friends!

King David said in Psalm 122:1 (NASB):

“I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord.”

I have some exciting news to share with you! The church staff and I are planning the first service for our church family in the sanctuary since the Coronavirus restrictions began. We plan to hold it Sunday, May 10, 2020 – Mother’s Day. This will be the 10:30am service. There will be no Sunday School or Children’s Church. We want all family members together to celebrate this event in the sanctuary. We will be practicing social distancing by spacing families a safe distance apart in the pews. The ushers will be assisting in this process. The balcony will be open to aid in this safety measure. The surfaces in the sanctuary and foyer will be disinfected. If you have been wearing masks at your workplace or when you leave your home, it would be good to wear one to the service, just to be extra careful. We are going to try to locate some disposable ones to have on hand if you do not have masks you can bring from home.

The evening service will be streamed at 6:00pm since we will not be meeting in the sanctuary for the evening service.

We plan to keep the streaming program going even after we begin meeting regularly again. If you know anyone who cannot attend church, please invite them to watch our livestreams at clearwaterfbc.org every Sunday morning at 10:30am and Sunday evening at 6:00pm.

Charlie and I have been making calls to check in on everyone during this unique time in our lives. Everyone seems to be doing well – excepting cabin fever and weight gain – oooh, and toilet paper panic! The birth rate is expected to soar this Winter, so it can’t be all bad. Expect our church family to increaseJ

Continue to remember Larry Patterson and Selma Uldrick in prayer. Also, Mary Adams, Alan Golden, Tony Hallman, Tommy Lowe, and Jerry Walker.

Shirley Toole has requested special prayer as she is scheduled to see a specialist at Emory University Hospital for an opinion about a tumor that could not be completely removed during surgery.

If you have information about others in our Church Family who need prayer, give us a call at 803-593-3195.

Love in Christ,

Brother John, Martha and Nikki
